As early as the late 16th century, an Uniate church stood in Parudaminys, marking the early spread of Christianity in this region. In 1726, this land became the property of a women's Benedictine monastery, and fifty years later, in 1776, a new Catholic chapel was solemnly built here. However, over time, this sanctuary was closed and demolished in 1867, making way for new religious structures.
In the early 20th century, in 1908, a wooden church was built, attracting the faithful with its simplicity and warmth. However, the true architectural and spiritual renaissance occurred in 1922 when the current Church of the Transfiguration was solemnly constructed, embodying the Neo-Gothic style with its characteristic sharp towers and pointed forms. Three years later, in 1925, a parish was established here, strengthening the spiritual life of the community.
