This single-story mill, built in the 19th century, is situated by the Palaukinis Stream, in the southeastern part of Gaveikėnai village, near the edge of a forest and close to the Ignalina-Ginučiai road. Next to the mill, there is a dam with a bridge, often visited by swimmers. Folk artist Teofilis Patiejūnas carved several devil sculptures for the mill building. In 1978, this mill was included in the Register of Cultural Heritage.

There are many legends about the Gaveikėnai Mill. Ask the local residents, and they are sure to tell you at least one. For example, one night, the master sent the miller to grind buckwheat at midnight, hoping the devils would harass him. The next morning, the master came to the mill and saw the miller snoring, while the devils, chained up, were wailing. It is believed that the devils are still up to mischief there.

Currently, the mill is adapted for the rest and relaxation of clergy.
