Juodkrantė Lighthouse

The Juodkrantė Lighthouse, standing atop the 53-meter-high Raganų Hill, was constructed in 1953. Its tower features a square metal structure with an openwork design on the lower part and light-colored wooden cladding on the upper part. At the top of the lighthouse, there is an observation deck and a lighting device that emits white signals (illuminating for three seconds and off for five), visible from a distance of 18 nautical miles (about 33 km).
This is the most mysterious lighthouse in Lithuania. Hidden in dense forests, this metal structure tower is visible from the sea (900 meters away) and the surrounding hills. At 19.7 meters tall, the Juodkrantė Lighthouse continues to serve as a navigational aid and forms a part of the collective chain of maritime lighthouses in Lithuania.
The lighthouse, accessible by foot or bicycle, is not equipped for visitors.
