In the Trakai eldership, surrounded by the Strėva stream and its old riverbed, once stood the Bagdononys Hillfort with an accompanying settlement. The water current eroded much of the hillfort from two sides, leaving only a 10-meter diameter, 4-meter high mound, which is the remaining base of the hillfort's hill. It is also known that in the late 1980s, part of the soil from the hillfort was removed and sold. This hillfort was first mentioned in 1971, and archaeologist Adolfas Tautavičius suggested that the Bagdononys Hillfort was likely used for religious purposes rather than as a living area. Subsequent research confirmed this hypothesis. To the south of the hillfort, ceramic remains were found, indicating that the area was inhabited by Baltic tribes for an extended period.
