The brick Neo-Gothic St. George Church was built in 1903 through the efforts of parish priest Kazimieras Žekevičius (1840–1926), who is buried in the churchyard. Previous churches (the first one built in 1523) stood in the Nemunas Valley. An old bell, cast in 1632 by H. Bedeker, has survived from that time. Once cracked and no longer in use, the bell can be seen inside the church, placed in a corner.
