The museum was established in 1994 in the northern wing of the former Vasilchikov manor. It now hosts two main exhibitions that reflect the Middle Ages – the times of battles with the Crusaders – and the history and culture of Jurbarkas manor and town. In the Medieval hall, visitors can touch and examine replicas of armor, weapons, and ammunition, as well as flags of the Crusaders and Lithuanians. An interactive information terminal-table is also available. A model representing the system of wooden castles features mobile figurines that can be used to play military games. In the hall dedicated to the history and culture of the manor, photographs, maps, town plans, and artifacts reflecting the history of the town are displayed. Visitors can take photos dressed in late 19th-century attire, available in the manor's cloakroom.
