According to legend, the castle of Ignas and Lina sank to the bottom of the lake, so the springs near the lake are called Lina's Tears by the locals. One spring bubbles underwater at a rest spot beside the gravel road Ignalina-Poviliškė. Here, a pavilion, a footbridge leading to the spring, and a campfire site have been set up. Another spring is hidden in the alder slope near Poviliškė village. This spring is convenient for drawing water with a cup or a small bottle. The water is pure and tasty. An interesting fact is that several springs also bubble up from the bottom of Lake Ilgis.
