Ignalina Burial Mounds

Located in the northeastern part of Ignalina, in the city park, 0.1 km southwest of Lake Ilgis, east of the Ignalina-Dūkštas road. The burial site contains 88 mounds. The mounds range from 6 to 12 meters in diameter and from almost flattened to 0.6-1 meters in height, some with depressions at the base. Some mounds are positioned next to each other, while others are spaced 20-30 meters apart. These burial mounds date back to the second half of the first millennium.
