When the road through the village was being paved, everyone feared that the road workers would destroy the young oak tree. Thanks to Bronė Blažienė, the oak growing by the roadside was saved. A commemorative plaque carved by P. Gaižutis has been placed next to it, dedicated to the prominent Lithuanian figure, signatory, professor, and one of the founders of Aukštaitija National Park – Česlovas Kudaba.
