In the Kaišiadorys Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Christ, there is the Chapel of Blessed Teofilius Matulionis. In this chapel dedicated to the blessed archbishop and martyr, Teofilius Matulionis, there is his sarcophagus (ornately decorated coffin) and a canonical painting. The painting is called canonical because it was created following traditional Christian sacred art requirements. Teofilius Matulionis' motto was "Per crucem ad astra" – "Through the cross to the stars."
