In the town of Dovilai, in celebration of the centenary of the Lithuanian state, an impressive project was realized: in the autumn of 2017, one hundred young oaks were planted, symbolizing the strength and growth of the restored state. A year later, in 2018, a monument of monumental significance was added – a commemorative stone weighing 35 tons, dedicated to the centenary of the restored Lithuanian state. This unique stone, brought from the Šnaukštai gravel quarries, has become not only a symbol but also a notable attraction, drawing visitors and history enthusiasts from all over the country.
