The outcrop stretches for about 600 meters along the right bank of the Kaunas Reservoir, featuring a nearly vertical wall up to 20 meters high. This wall clearly shows layers of moraine clay deposited during two ice ages, separated by layers of sand deposited during an interglacial period. The outcrop covers an area of 1.07 hectares.
In 2008, the outcrop was declared a state-protected geological natural heritage site. The objective is to preserve the nearly vertical 20-meter-high wall that extends for approximately 600 meters, showcasing clearly visible layers of moraine clay deposited during two ice ages, separated by sand layers from an interglacial period.
