Girelė Nature Trail and Rest Area

For a leisurely walk in nature, we suggest traveling along the Girelė pedestrian trail (about 1.7 km), which starts near Paukštininkų Street. An information board is installed at the beginning of the trail. First, you can admire the artistic birdhouses created by the residents of Kaišiadorys and hung on the roadside trees—the "Avenue of Birdhouses" was established in 2012 to celebrate Bird Day. Next, you will come across a skateboarding and cycling area. Afterward, turning onto a forest path, you will visit a large oak tree and continue your journey through the forest until you reach a wooden bridge and the Girelė Forest Rest Area. This area is equipped with pavilions, a fire pit, swings, benches, and a wooden pier leading to the Girelė I pond. You can return the same way or through the town via Gediminas Street.
