The first church was built before 1522. Soon after, in the second half of the 16th century, it was taken over by the Evangelical Reformers. In 1609, it was returned to the Catholics. In 1649, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania treasurer Stanisław Beinart settled the Dominicans in Paparčiai, who built a new brick church on the site of the old wooden one. For more than 300 years, the church belonged to the Dominican monastery. In 1891, 27 years after the monastery was closed in 1864, the church and monastery were demolished. In 1907, a project for a new brick church was prepared. In 1915, Father Jurgis Zimkus was appointed to Paparčiai. Through his efforts, the current wooden church was built

in 1916 (the project's author was the well-known architect A. Filipovičius-Dubovikas). The interior of the new Church of St. Bishop Stanislaus and St. Francis of Assisi incorporated old decorative elements from the Dominican era. The main altar houses the miraculous 17th-century painting "Our Lady of the Snows" (with its original frame separately displayed above it) and a Baroque-style tabernacle. The Passion of the Redeemer is illustrated by artistic Baroque wooden sculptures "Jesus at the Column" and "Crucifixion." Additionally, parts of the old altars, including the statues of Dominican saints - St. Dominic, St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Pius V - are preserved in the treasury.
