At 21 Kuršu Street, an impressive large-format mural “Pegasus” decorates the building façade. Its author is artist Uldis Rubezis. The central motif of the work is the mythical winged horse Pegasus, symbolizing wisdom and creative inspiration since ancient times. In the background, an engraving-style composition depicts Neptune, a lion, and other heraldic symbols reflecting the history of Liepāja. Colorful stripes and vivid field transitions add modernity, linking mythology with contemporary aesthetics. The artwork was created on the initiative of the Liepāja municipality, continuing the city’s tradition of decorating firewalls.
