The Estonian Parliament Riigikogu is located in the historic Toompea Castle complex in Tallinn’s Old Town. This pink building with its neo-baroque façade was completed in 1922 as the first structure in Estonia built specifically for parliamentary purposes. It harmoniously integrates into the medieval Toompea Castle, which dates back to the 13th century. Right next to the parliament stands the Pikk Hermann Tower, from which the Estonian flag is raised every morning, symbolizing the country’s freedom and independence.
