The Patkuli Viewing Platform is one of the most impressive spots in Tallinn, offering a breathtaking panorama of the Old Town: towers, red rooftops, the harbor, and the Baltic Sea. You can reach the platform by climbing 157 steps from the northern city wall side – a perfect opportunity to enjoy a walk while admiring the city’s historic architecture. The platform is named after Russian officer Patkul, who was connected to Tallinn’s defense. This place is ideal for photography, romantic evenings, or simply a short break. Visiting is free and accessible year-round.
