St. Catherine’s Passage is one of the most charming spots in Tallinn’s Old Town, radiating medieval spirit. It originated in the mid-14th century, next to the former St. Catherine’s Monastery. This narrow cobbled path has remained nearly unchanged for over 400 years, making it an open-air museum. Today, artisan workshops operate here, where you can watch how glass items, jewelry, and textiles are crafted using traditional methods. These workshops also function as stores – a perfect place to find unique souvenirs. The passage is especially magical in the evening when the lights create a fairy tale-like atmosphere.
