The Danish King’s Garden is one of the most legendary places in Tallinn, located on Toompea Hill next to the “Kiek in de Kök” fortifications. According to legend, it was here in 1219, during a battle with the Estonians, that the Danish flag “Dannebrog” fell from the sky, becoming the national symbol. The garden fascinates not only with its history but also with views of the Old Town – from here you can see the “Maiden’s Tower” (Neitsitorn) and restored parts of the city walls. The site is also famous for its mysterious atmosphere – three impressive monk statues stand here, evoking legends of ghosts and hauntings. It is both a historic and mystical spot, attracting tourists and photographers alike.
