Veczemi Cliffs are an impressive natural site on the Vidzeme coast of Latvia. Here, sea waves have exposed and shaped a steep shoreline, reaching up to 6 meters in height. Along several kilometers, you can see various formations of red sandstone – small caves, niches, and grotto fragments. These geological layers formed 300–400 million years ago during the Devonian period, making this one of the oldest and most unique sites on the Baltic coast. Veczemi Cliffs attract both geology enthusiasts and travelers seeking breathtaking views. Visitors can enjoy peaceful walks by the sea, photograph the remarkable rock formations, and discover the natural beauty of Latvia’s coastline.
