Keila Waterfall is the third largest and most powerful waterfall in Estonia, located in the north of the country near Tallinn, in the town of Keila-Joa. It is about 60–70 meters wide, with water cascading from a height of around 6 meters. It is one of the most impressive natural monuments in the Baltic coastal region. The waterfall was formed on the Keila River, which splits into several streams here, tumbling over a wide limestone ledge. Around the falls, walking paths and bridges allow visitors to enjoy the scenery from different angles. In autumn, the surroundings are especially enchanting – the colorful park and the powerful water flow create a breathtaking sight. Nearby stands Keila-Joa Manor, one of the first examples of Neo-Gothic architecture in Estonia, as well as a historic hydroelectric power plant that harnesses the waterfall’s energy. Keila Waterfall is not only a beautiful natural spot but also a popular place for walks, photo shoots, and romantic dates.
