The sculpture “Apple Blossom” (by V. Kančiauskas) was first installed in 1981 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Alytus being granted Magdeburg rights. In 2015, a renewed version of the sculpture was placed in the same location near the White Rose Bridge. It symbolizes the city’s vitality, renewal, and the cycles of nature. Located in the Song Valley (Dainų slėnis), it has become one of Alytus’ iconic landmarks.
