Located in Mārupe near the Viesturi Golf Club, this monument honors soldiers of Latvia’s first independence. Unveiled in 2014 during Patriot Week, it marks World War I battle sites on the Mārupe-Babīte border. Created by sculptor Ivars Feldbergs and funded by Visvaldis Dumpis, it features an info board telling local history: old Adieni homes, WWI events, historic bridges and mills. It’s an important site for Latvian history and remembrance tourism.
