Vatla Manor, owned by Otto von Rosen since 1807, is one of the most distinctive historic manors in Western Estonia. The interior features a unique triumphal frieze and exotic artwork adorning the fireplace in the owner’s bedroom. In the courtyard stand an arched barn and stable. Today, the building houses a community society and a library. According to legend, the manor was designed so that one corner is not visible from another – a curious feature that continues to intrigue visitors. Vatla Manor is not just heritage; it is a living piece of history.
