Kirbla Church is one of the smallest stone churches in Estonia, built in the early 16th century. According to legend, the location for the sanctuary was determined by a lightning strike that shattered a sacrificial stone on top of the hill. The building is notable for its asymmetrical window placement—the window on the southern wall is narrower and taller, and there is a round window on the western side.
Kirbla Church is a unique monument of architecture and history. Estonia's Prime Minister Jüri Uluots, who died in exile in Sweden, is buried in its churchyard. This is an excellent site for historical and cultural heritage tourism.
