Zvārte Rock is one of the most impressive Devonian sandstone outcrops in Latvia, located in the scenic Amata River valley, surrounded by forests and meadows. The rock rises up to 44 meters high and forms a 200-meter-long sandstone wall that can be admired from both the riverbank and above – stairs and viewing platforms are installed. Nearby, there is a visitor center offering information about the 21.5 km Amata nature trail, coffee, and local products. Across the river lies Migla Rock, also known as Snake Rock, which reaches 25 meters in height. Zvārte Rock is an ideal destination for those seeking breathtaking landscapes, active leisure, and tranquility in Latvian nature.
