The historical neoclassical building, constructed between the late 18th century and the early 19th century, was initially owned by Danish consul Lorck and his relative Consentius. In 1846, the building became a symbol of Klaipėda city when it was acquired by the city magistrate and transformed into the Klaipėda City Hall. Since 2011, this historic building has once again been the residence of the Mayor of Klaipėda and the offices of the city administration, continuing its significant role in the city's administrative life.
