Mihkli Church is one of the oldest churches in Western Estonia, built in the 13th century in the Soontagana region. It reflects the architectural style of the Saare-Lääne Bishopric: a single-nave hall, a narrower presbytery, and a square tower added in the 18th century. The churchyard contains old graves. The first pastor of the church was Henry of Latvia, the author of the famous Chronicle of Livonia.
