"Two Swallows" is an artistic accent in the Šiauliai pedestrian boulevard, created by Henrika Orakauskaitė and V. Puronas in 1980. Made of copper and glass, the artwork promotes the "Bridal Salon" and symbolizes newlyweds. The swallows perched on a nest, with glass and a red light, reflect the everyday life of the Soviet era when "Bridal Salons" offered wedding goods such as dresses, rings, and watches. The heart in the swallow, resembling a pocket watch, reveals a subtle touch of sarcasm. Restored in 2001, the artwork has regained its full form and has become a valuable element of Šiauliai’s cultural heritage.
