The sculpture "The Unfolding Core" is a monument dedicated to the fighters for Lithuania's freedom, created by sculptor Donatas Dovidavičius. This sculpture is located in the city center, in the town hall square. It consists of three massive granite elements surrounding a symbolic core. Water gently flows from the surface of this core, continuing as a stylized stream. The monument symbolizes Lithuania's struggles for freedom, continuous movement, and the renewal of the country.
