In Birštonas, you can visit the bronze sculpture dedicated to the priest and poet Antanas Strazdas. This artistic landmark was created in 2022 by sculptor Vladas Žuklys. Antanas Strazdas is one of the most prominent figures of 19th-century Lithuania, leaving a significant cultural mark. His works reflect the spirit of the nation, love for his homeland, and social critique. The first version of the sculpture, made from oak, was created in 1954 and displayed in Moscow, where it was acquired by the Tretyakov Gallery. Today, the newly created sculpture in Birštonas invites visitors to explore Lithuania's literary heritage and discover the historic face of the resort.
