Miežiškiai Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a historic sanctuary located on the left bank of the Nevėžis River, near the Anykščiai–Troškūnai–Panevėžys road. It stands out for its architecture and long-standing history. The first chapel on this site was mentioned in 1669, while the construction of the current brick church began in 1911. Initiated by priest T. Pranaševičius, the work was interrupted by World War I but was eventually completed in 1920. In 1921, Bishop Pranciškus Karevičius consecrated the church.
In 1924, a parish house was built using materials from the old church, and in 1942, the interior was decorated. The parish also includes the Šilelis Chapel of St. Isidore. Today, Miežiškiai Church remains an important religious and cultural center for the local community.
