Maslauskiškiai Water Mill – a unique 19th-century industrial heritage site, built in 1895 near a former manor. Constructed from bricks and stones, the mill has withstood the test of time despite historical challenges. In 1944, it suffered severe damage when the front line stalled in the area. After the war, the mill was rebuilt and modernized—electricity replaced the waterwheel, but its original function remained. Beyond its historical significance, the mill also served as a filming location for scenes from the legendary movie Nobody Wanted to Die. In 1993, it was returned to renowned Lithuanian philanthropist E. Bodendorf along with her family’s land. Today, the mill stands as a testament to craftsmanship and technological evolution, inviting visitors to explore its rich history up close.
