Owl Hill is one of the most interesting places in Kaunas, renowned not only for its scenic panorama but also for its historical and cultural significance. This location stands out due to its strategic position, offering a stunning view of the city. At the end of the 19th century, an art school was established here, followed by the Kaunas Art Gymnasium. As a result, Owl Hill became an important cultural center. A flagpole was also erected here, with the Lithuanian tricolor raised high as a reminder of the nation's history and struggles for freedom. The hill also recalls the times of the Kaunas Fortress, when it served as a watchtower. Today, Owl Hill attracts visitors with its unique landscape, artistic heritage, and historical associations, and its name was inspired by the owl sculptures on the facades of buildings.
