The Užutrakis Manor complex is a historical gem located between Lake Galvė and Lake Skaisčiai. In the 14th century, it was known as "Algirdas Island," later belonging to the Tatars and many noble families. In the 19th century, the manor was acquired by Count Juozapas Tiškevičius, whose son Juozapas and his wife Jadvyga Svetopolk-Četvertinska established an exceptional residence here.
The palace was designed by Polish architect Józef Hus, and the park was created by the renowned French landscape architect Édouard François André. The French-style parterres, adorned with sculptures and flowerbeds, contrast with the romantic, English-style park pathways, winding through lakes, ponds, and artificial rocks.
After being abandoned during the Soviet era, the manor is now being restored. The restored palace, park, and various cultural activities invite visitors to explore its rich history.
