The estate was surrounded by a park and featured facilities such as a distillery, a water mill, and an art gallery. Raudondvaris is a historic site near the town of Šeduva, renowned for its Neo-Gothic architecture from the early 19th century. Also known as Šeduva Manor, the estate was built after demolishing older structures when its new owner, Baron Theodor von Ropp, acquired the property in 1798. Before that, Šeduva Manor had belonged to the Grand Duke of Lithuania. Baron T. von Ropp became a controversial figure due to a conflict with Šeduva residents, who defended their right not to perform corvée labor in court. After losing the case, the baron decided to relocate the manor to a site approximately 2 km from Šeduva,

near the Daugyvenė River. The new estate was named Raudondvaris. This site was distinguished by its carefully planned layout, harmonizing with nearby roads and water bodies, and its spacious park, which adorned the area. In 1854, the manor passed to Baron Otto von Ropp, who transformed it into a cultural and economic hub. By 1859, the estate housed a distillery, a water mill, and an art gallery featuring 18th-century paintings. Unfortunately, the manor buildings today are privatized and in a deteriorating condition—its palace is crumbling, though it retains immense historical and cultural value.
