The Palanga Seaside Resort Museum is a place where history meets innovation. Established in 2013 in the historic "Anapilis" villa, it has become a cultural hub that nurtures Palanga's heritage. The museum houses archaeological, historical, and artistic treasures and hosts educational programs, exhibitions, meetings, and traditional events such as "Museum Night" and "Palanga Days."

In 2016, the museum was modernized and became accessible to all – special spaces for people with disabilities, interactive floors, and an elevator were installed. Visitors can not only learn about Palanga's history but also participate in quizzes, develop creativity, and enhance logical thinking. The Palanga Seaside Resort Museum is a place where the past comes to life in contemporary culture.

The idea of establishing a museum in Palanga originated in the early 20th century when the "Palanga Friends' Society" was founded in 1907. Its goal was to promote the development of health, medicine, and culture. In 1964, this idea was revived with the establishment of the Palanga branch of the Lithuanian SSR Local Lore Society, led by educator Emilija Adiklienė. Over the course of a decade, more than 500 exhibits were collected, but the museum was officially founded only in 2013, housed in the historic "Anapilis" villa. Today, the Palanga Seaside Resort Museum is a multifunctional cultural center, safeguarding archaeological, historical, and artistic treasures.
It organizes exhibitions, educational programs, lectures, and concerts. In 2016, the museum was modernized and adapted for people with disabilities, with the installation of interactive floors and an elevator. It is not only a cultural space but also an area of innovation, enhancing visitors' creativity and knowledge about Palanga. Every year, the museum participates in city celebrations, such as "Palanga Days," and organizes traditional events like "Museum Night," poetry competitions, and art exhibitions. It is a place where history, contemporary culture, and community initiatives intersect, reflecting the uniqueness and heritage of Palanga.
