In the courtyard of the Old Pharmacy in Palanga (Vytauto St.), the Exiles' Cross and Memorials to Partisans stand as significant historical symbols, commemorating the Soviet regime's repressions. From 1944 to 1951, the building housed the NKVD headquarters, and this fact is memorialized on the plaque attached to the pharmacy's facade.
In 1988, folk artist A. Žulkus erected a wooden cross in the courtyard to honor the exiles. Nearby, stones with the names of exile locations are placed, and a granite plaque bears the names of partisans. This memorial is an important site for both the Palanga community and tourists interested in the country's history.
