The Orthodox Church of the Mother of God of Iveron in Palanga is the center of the Orthodox Christian community, founded in 1995. In 1999, the city council allocated a plot of land for the church's construction, and the building was completed in 2001 according to the design of architect Dmitry Borunov.

The church was consecrated in 2002 with the participation of Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Vilnius and Lithuania, along with other high-ranking clergy. The church holds morning and evening services, sacraments, and celebrates church holidays.

The parish, consisting of about 100 members, has a library with 3,000 books and publishes an informational newsletter called "Iveros Candle," which shares news about the church's life and events.

The Orthodox Church of the Mother of God of Iveron in Palanga is an important place for the Orthodox Christian community in the resort town. The Palanga Orthodox parish was founded in 1995 and initially operated in one of the classrooms of a Russian school. In 1999, the Palanga City Municipality allocated a 2,263 m² plot of land for the construction of the church. The complex was designed by architect Dmitry Borunov from Penza, and the church's construction was completed in 2001. of God of Iveron, took place on June 16, 2002. The ceremony was attended by Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Vilnius and Lithuania and Metropolitan Juvenaly of Kursk and Kolomna. Today, the church hosts morning and evening services, as well as the sacraments of confession and communion, and celebrates church holidays. The parish consists of about 100 members, and it also has a library with approximately 3,000 books, as well as an informational publication called "Iveros Candle." This publication introduces readers to the church's life, services, and holidays, contributing to the strengthening of the parish community.
