On March 22, 2024, a monument dedicated to the participants of the January Uprising was unveiled on the grounds of the Franciscan Monastery on Trakų Street in Vilnius. Bishop Darius Trijonis of Vilnius blessed a replica of the statue of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, before which the insurgents swore allegiance to God and their homeland, as well as the monument honoring the uprising's heroes. The unveiling coincided with the 160th anniversary of the death of the uprising's leader, Vincent Konstanty Kalinowski.
Before the January Uprising, this location was a site of protests by Vilnius residents against the Tsarist regime. After the ceremony, a memorial Mass for the insurgents was celebrated at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Vilnius.
