The sculpture "The Spinning Woman" ("Textile Worker"), created by A. Janušauskas in 1974–1975, honors the history of the "Mastis" weaving factory in Telšiai. The factory, founded between 1930 and 1932 through the efforts of M. Augustinavičius, marked the development of the textile industry in the city. This sculpture not only commemorates the industrial progress but also symbolizes the hard work of women in the fields of spinning and weaving, which was an inseparable part of Žemaitija's history.
