The World War I Soldiers' Cemetery in Tauragė is a historic monument that commemorates the great war and the soldiers who lost their lives. The cemetery, where 64 Russian and 121 German soldiers are buried, is an important site for remembering World War I. The cemetery has been preserved and maintained, and in 1988, the area was renovated to better preserve this historical monument. In 1991, a cross and an informational plaque in both Lithuanian and German were installed to help better understand the significance and history of the site. It is not only an important cultural heritage site but also a place to honor the memory of those who perished, reflecting on the tragic history of the war.
