Housed in a school built in 1705 and restored in 1994, the Kintai Vydūnas Cultural Center and Memorial Museum celebrates the legacy of Vilhelmas Storosta-Vydūnas, a prominent Lithuanian philosopher and writer who taught there from 1888 to 1892. Established in 1998, the center has become a significant hub for culture and art for both locals and visitors to the region. Today, the cultural center features an artist residency located in a reconstructed auxiliary building, equipped with metal art workshops, creative spaces, and relaxation rooms for artists. The center offers guided tours around Kintai and provides access to the Vydūnas Museum. Additionally, it hosts an enamel gallery offering educational
workshops for both individuals and groups. The Kintai Vydūnas Cultural Center actively promotes ethnic culture through expeditions, educational and ethnocultural projects, live demonstrations of traditional crafts, and art collective activities. It also focuses on artistic education for children and youth, organizing art and music lessons as well as youth engagement projects. Furthermore, the center fosters the dissemination of professional art by organizing educational programs, regional and international art symposiums, traveling exhibitions, traditional festivals, and other events. It continues to serve as a vibrant cultural and artistic space for the community and beyond.
