Skirvytėlė Ethnographic Village

Situated between the Pakalnė and Skirvytėlė Rivers, this village is a unique feature of the Nemunas Delta Regional Park. The village once stretched 1.5 kilometers and consisted of around 20 homesteads built in the late 19th century along the banks of the Pakalnė and Vorusnė Rivers. It is believed that the first inhabitants settled here in the late 16th century, engaging in farming, fishing, and reed cutting and trading.
Skirvytėlė is the only village in the region with the status of a national architectural monument, making it an important cultural and historical heritage site in the Nemunas Delta. The village has preserved its traditional agricultural way of life and plays a key role in maintaining the cultural and natural heritage of the region.
