Dubiai Hillfort, also known as Batarėja, is located on the terrace of the Šventoji River and is steeped in legends. According to folklore, Lithuanian warriors built the hillfort using their hats to celebrate a victory over the Livonian Order. The hillfort dates back to the second half of the 1st millennium to the beginning of the 2nd millennium, though detailed archaeological research has yet to be conducted.
Situated in the Upninkai eldership, the area is renowned for its Baltic cultural landmarks, including the Dagilijoniai burial mounds, Padaigai Hillfort, Perelozai Old Believers Church, and the confluence of the Neris and Šventoji Rivers. It is an excellent destination for history and nature enthusiasts.
