The Bukonys Church, built in 1829, is a single-tower plastered masonry structure in the Classical style, with a stone masonry fence surrounding its churchyard. The church plan was designed in 1913 by engineer and architect Vaclovas Michnevičius. Highlights of the church include its brick gates adorned with iron crosses and a large stone marking the grave of the church's founder, Juozapas Hoppen.

Located in the Jonava district, the Bukonys Church is an important architectural and historical landmark. The first wooden church in this location was built around 1787 by nobleman Juozapas Hoppen. However, the current brick church, constructed in 1829, stands out with its Classical architecture. It features a rectangular layout with a single tower and a churchyard fence made of stone masonry. The church underwent renovation in the early 20th century, between 1916 and 1917, with its plan prepared in 1913 by
Vaclovas Michnevičius, a prominent Lithuanian church architect and engineer. The churchyard gates, built of brick, feature an arched opening with a pediment and a niche for a sculpture. Two ornate iron crosses, dating back to the 19th century, remain on the gates. A large stone in the churchyard marks the grave of its founder, nobleman Juozapas Hoppen. The Bukonys Church is not only a significant architectural monument but also an essential part of the local history, making it a site well worth visiting.
