In Jonava's Peace Square stands a monument created by Vladas Vildžiūnas, dedicated to poet, translator, and playwright Petras Vaičiūnas, one of the pioneers of Lithuanian theater. His poem “We Will Not Rest Without Vilnius!” became a symbol of the struggle to reclaim the Vilnius region.
