The Grūšlaukė village house of prayer has deep traditions dating back to the 18th century. The first church in the village was funded by the Oginski princes. Unfortunately, these architecturally significant prayer halls were destroyed during World War II. After the war, a temporary wooden church resembling a residential house served the community until 1995. In that year, the current brick church was built, making it one of the newest churches in the Kretinga district.
Grūšlaukė Church stands out with its unique pink facade, likely the only church of such color in the district. Its interior features three altars, two of which were relocated from the old church. The modern church has retained traditional crypts in its basement, intended for the burial of parish priests.
