The wooden chapel built in 1867 was expanded in 1925 to become the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the churchyard, which has served as a cemetery since ancient times, rests Father Justinas Dabrila, martyred by the Bolsheviks in 1941.
The church's interior features three pairs of columns dividing the space into three naves. At the back of the presbytery stands a Neo-Baroque altar, created using elements of a 17th-century altar—a rare example in Lithuanian small-scale architecture. The main altar houses a valuable and expressive sculpture of the Blessed Virgin Mary with Child, crafted by an unknown artist. This piece is notable for its unique iconographic and compositional design.
