In 1928, the City Garden in Vilkaviškis was established to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Lithuania’s independence. The garden featured tennis courts, dance areas, and a café. For a long time, it was listed in the forest registry, but in 2020, it was renovated and adapted for active recreation.
The garden is home to several rare trees, including four tall larches and a grand Douglas fir, one of the largest in Lithuania, standing 28 meters tall with an 80 cm diameter. It is a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of nature.
